At Bequin, we are designers and material innovators across continents who came together to address a growing problem - the environmental impact of embroidery embellishments in fashion.
Sequins may be small, but their footprint is anything but.
We believe there is a better way.
Our aim is not just to replace petroleum-based sequins, but to reshape the production process into something more local and sustainable at source, and circular at end of life.
Situated in the heart of the global embroidery industry in India, we are rethinking the sequin supply chain: reducing emissions from shipping, using natural local resources, and using a deliberately low energy sustainable production process. Able to work closely with embroidery ateliers and luxury fashion houses, we are helping to make luxury embroidery more responsible.
Our work brings together material science, textile craft, and sustainable design, with growing partnerships in the luxury fashion industry to help bring Bequin to a global audience.
Together, we are creating beautiful, biodegradable sequin alternatives that are better for people and the planet.
